New Movements in Visual Art Higher Education

Art education is changing. The practices and processes taught in art college are now widely recognized as transferable skills. The painter, the sculptor and the printmaker learn to iterate, to edit and to communicate ideas. The model of the bohemian working outside of, or on the margins of, society no longer holds true. The creative and cultural industries are significant engines in a healthy economy. We teach our students to problem solve in an interdisciplinary field of teaching and learning that will place them at the heart of tomorrow’s solutions and change.
